How much does a 10 pound Honey Baked Ham feed? ›

Every product is individually frozen, boxed in our temperature control packaging with ice packs to guarantee that your order will remain fresh and delicious on its way to you. Our products are designed to thaw during transit so excess moisture or condensation is to be expected.

If using a conventional oven, cover the entire ham (or portion to be used) and heat at 275 degrees F for about 10 minutes per pound. Your HoneyBaked spiral ham will retain its deliciousness for up to 6 weeks in the freezer.

For serving, we recommend taking Ham or Turkey out of refrigeration for 30 minutes prior to serving. If you choose to refrigerate your products, Honey Baked Ham can be refrigerated for 7 to 10 days and Honey Baked Turkey Breast can be refrigerated for 5 to 7 days.

Store for Future Use

To serve after freezing, remove from the insulated bag and place in refrigerator for 24-36 to thaw before serving. Once thawed, the Ham will keep for 7-10 days. To freeze unused ham portions after opening, wrap the ham in aluminum foil and freeze within 5 days of thawing.

But all that succulent pork can be expensive. HoneyBaked Ham's 7-pound bone-in ham is priced at $100, while a boneless 3-pounder is $80. So we wanted to find out whether spending that much was really worth it.

Buy bone-in ham. Yes, the bone is a little more work to cut around, but the meat is more flavorful and the hambone can be used to flavor soups and stews. Check the label. City hams can be artificially plumped up with water or solutions, but this dilutes the flavor, so look for one with no added water or juices.

That means for a 10-person Easter dinner, you'll need a bone-in ham that weighs between 7.5-10 pounds or a 5-pound boneless ham. If you're serving country ham, though, you'll need way less of it.

The best rule of thumb for ham is to plan about 1/2 pound per person when picking a bone-in ham (it's heavier) and 1/3 pound if boneless. Look, at the end of the day, some people will eat more than expected, some will eat less—it'll even out.

Bone-In Spiral-Cut Ham

Estimate 3/4 to 1 pound per person for a bone-in ham. No matter what size ham you purchase, save the bone to make the best bean soup or save some ham for sandwiches, casseroles, and other leftover dishes.
