Missouri S&T Satellite Research Team Launches Satellite with NASA & SpaceX
Missouri S&T is home to one of the best satellite research teams. Undergraduate students are able to work with some of the biggest partners in industry to advance satellite research. In March of 2024, S&T launched our first satellite on the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Very few universities have achieved this milestone.

S&T is a good place to go for students looking to study engineering and technology-based fields. Although there are professors that are underqualified that end up teaching courses due to lack of professors, generally the coursework is good information to have in the working world. My biggest problem with the university is that I have been trying to get the civil department to offer any sort of transportation or traffic related courses and they have refused to do so.

It has been a great school to attend. The teachers are very knowledgeable, and make sure you understand the topics presented. The people at the school are nice. Sports events are under-represented but people still show up. The campus can be dry sometimes but they try their best to keep events coming. There is a large variety of clubs and plenty of frats. There is a large amount of diversity at this school and they put on a lot of events and programs for diversity too.

Missouri University of Science and Technology is a great engineering school. Employers come from all across the country to showcase their business at each career fair hosted by Rolla. Now it is not a party college by any means, but the social life is good if you put the effort in and actually go out to make friends. The food here is good, but you will get used to the same 7 places everyday quick. Overall Rolla is a great school for future employment and the education.
