  • Hard Cider

Condensed Milk Jello

  • Gelatin

Directions

How To Make Hard Apple Cider Jello Shots

  • Take the water and 2 cups of hard cider and put them in a pot with the sugar.
  • Add the gelatin and let proof for a few minutes.
  • Once swelled or bloomed, put the pot over medium heat and bring to a slow boil until the gelatin is dissolved.
  • Take off the heat and add in the remaining 2 cups of hard cider.
  • Pour the mixture into a square 9×9 baking dish and cover in the fridge for a few hours until set.
  • Once set, cut them into small cubes and put them in a 9×9 square dish, piling them on top of each other.

How To Make Condensed Milk Jello

  • Mix 1/2 cup cold water and 2 gelatin packets together in a mixing bowl and let proof.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups boiling water and mix until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Mix in one can of sweetened condensed milk. Let the mixture come to room temperature, and pour 1 cup over the cubed cider Jello.
  • Cover and let set in the fridge. You can use the remaining amount to make sweetened condensed milk Jello as well.

What Are Jello Shots?

These jiggly, tasty treats – sometimes called ‘jelly shots’ – are simply jelly spiked with alcohol. They are super fun and so easy to make.

They can be created a few days in advance if needed. This recipe uses hard cider for an alcoholic kick.

Hard Apple Ciders

Cider is one of our favorite fall ingredients. I would use a local cider company if possible. However, if not, here are some great hard cider options.

  • Square Mile Hopped AppleCider
  • Angry Orchard Green AppleCider
  • Strongbow’s GoldHardAppleCider
  • Samuel Smith’s OrganicCider
  • Famille Dupont OrganicCider

A Perfect Halloween Party Jello Shot

With it’s warm apple cider flavor and silky condensed milk, this is a great treat for Fall events, such as Halloween parties. And their Autumnal colors really set the scene!

Top Tips For Hard Apple Cider Jello Shots

  • You can batch-make these in advance and store them in the fridge for up to 10 days. But the shots will deteriorate over time, and they’re at their best within 2 days of making.
  • You can even make soft cider and kid-friendly jello shots. Just don’t get them mixed up!
  • Remember to drink responsibly 😉
