Why is Omega Strikers shutting down? ›

Odyssey developers are going to be pivoting to new games in the Strikers universe. While this sounds exciting, this unfortunately means that Omega Strikers is losing support from the team. After the next update, there will be no new content updates. Omega Strikers servers will remain and matchmaking will be live.

The fps though can be adjusted to a max of 240 fps making the gameplay insanely smooth as long as your device can support high frame rates. There is no P2W features at all. Any money spent is strictly for cosmetics. The game has character skins, emojis, player profile icons, goal score effects.

And, like I mentioned previously, you will still retain most of your hidden MMR from last time. So if you're reset to Gold and retained your Diamond hidden MMR, you'll climb quickly.

While the game doesn't have much else besides its standard versus modes, it's an incredible game that's very easy to get into and tough to master. The game's free-to-play structure could use some work in terms of the kinds of goodies you get for free, but other than that, it still can be a fun time for most players.

Once a season ends players will earn rewards (an emote for those that reached at least Gold rank as well as a title for those that reached Omega or Pro League ranks) based on their peak rank they achieved during the season.
