Naming a baby is always a decision that requires thought, debate, and probably a list of about 200 different options. And when you don't even know the gender, coming up with a name is even more difficult.
It's all part of the joy of having a baby, of course. But there are different routes you can go down.
Do you aim for something traditional and well-known. Or do you go other way and allow your child to stand out from the very start?

There's no right answer. But celebrities have given a bit of additional gloss to the idea of bestowing your child with an unusual name in recent years.
Who could deny the uniqueness of the names of Elon Musk's children with pop star Grimes, for example? That's right, we're talking about Techno Mechanicus, Exa Dark Sideræl, and X Æ A-Xii.
Those names will stand out in any playground. So will those of Beyoncé and Jay Z (Blue Ivy - isn't it beautiful?); Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin (Apple); Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott (Aire and Stormi); Kanye West (now Ye) and Kim Kardashian (North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm); and Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick (Mason Dash, Penelope Scotland, and Reign Aston).
Lovely names there. So if you want to go down the same path, help is at hand.
Mia Bardot, the editor-in-chief of Random Names, this year revealed the rarest baby name choices. She said: "There is an undeniable allure to these names.
“Brayan, Marlon, and Yael have an intense yet refined quality. Aire, Maleah, and Kai infuse a sense of uniqueness and individuality. Names like Luxury, Royal, and Atticus have an elite touch, making them striking choices for parents looking for something grand. While Elsa, Ophelia, and Starlette exude a whimsical charm, perfect for a baby girl."
