I'm looking for some creative, surprising gender reveal ideas! I know the standard cake idea as well as the confetti shooters, but I was really looking for something else. thanks!

@agr8710,
I love when parents-to-be put their personality/hobbies into a reveal. Cute!

@1boymommy1OTW,
I do too! we are big into music so I was trying to think of something cute that may be music related but I am not creative enough 😆

With my son (he’s 3 now), we smashed eggs on our foreheads lol. My cousin was the person who knew what we were having so she dyed a dozen eggs, 6 of them pink and 6 of them blue. They were all hard boiled except for one blue one was raw. My husband and I took turns smacking our foreheads with an egg lol ended up being his blue egg that cracked open

With our 2nd we put color into my in-laws snow blower machine (it’s just bubbles) and surprised everyone. It was a pool party “boardshorts or bikinis?”
Our first one was just releasing balloons from a box. It was in the fall so we did “footballs or pompoms?”
We made a football field on a foam core board and had ppl pick a pompom or football to decide what they thought it would be.

I always wanted to shoot an arrow at a balloon that had the gender color in paint. you could even tape a design where the paint would drip as an art piece or memento

The only time my family is able to get together this year is Easter so 03/31. (I have my Natera draw tomorrow so imagine having the results for 4 weeks :'( my sister is getting my results instead of me). So we are doing easter themed treats and stuff. But our reveal is the cake pop reveal. Everyone will get a cake pop and take a bite into it to see if we have a pink or blue cake pop :) My sister's job is making sure the first person doesn't have it. I am hoping she gives it to my mom, but I also want to be surprised too on who gets it haha. I also like this idea because it's harder to mess up you know? Sometimes confetti cannons get mixed up and the outcome is wrong. I've seen so many fails!

for my first my sister found a cake stand online where we pulled a tab and the middle popped up, she’d filled it with pink candies and confetti and whatnot, really cute twist on the cake. (Google popping cake stand)
This time we’re doing something more intimate just the three of us; debating a balloon drop (inside) where we have a bundle of pink and blue balloons but only the ones for the gender will be tied down (so if it’s a boy the pink will float up) or going to the store, picking out a girl outfit and a boy outfit and giving the clerk an envelope so they can ring out the right one then open it up when we get home.
Our friends did a gender reveal with a little wardrobe on a table and when they opened it it was full of boy clothes, it was cute and practical

For our first, we put copper chloride on a bon fire to turn the flames blue.
For our second, we got small confetti sticks that were planning to let our nephews, and whatever adults who want, throw in our house. They'll release little tissue paper confetti pieces that clean up easily with a vacuum 😆
