Might want to try adding some vegetable oil. I worked there for years and we always added oil when we made sauce. Also, we didn’t cook the sauce just let it sit for at least 4 hours but overnight was always better.

Tomato sauce and BBQ sauce are just versions of pizza sauce. One alternative, used frequently in Italy, is pesto. Although usually an olive oil/basil/garlic/nut combination, it can also made with fresh oregano and Parmesan. Another option is seafood, particularly clams and sardines.
The spray used on the stuffed crust pizza is a simple garlic-flavor oil spray (probably full of additives) used to make the crust shiny-shiny and less dry, much like the buttery coat (not sure it's 100 % butter though) put on breadsticks.
Tomatoes: The foundation of any good marinara sauce is high-quality tomatoes. Pizza Hut is rumored to use a blend of San Marzano tomatoes, which are known for their sweetness and acidity. Olive oil: Olive oil adds richness and depth to the sauce, and it also helps to prevent the tomatoes from becoming too acidic.
Pepperoni is the most classic of pizza toppings, but it's not the healthiest. The meaty rounds bring their ample sodium and fat to this single-topping pizza. On the plus side, though, a single large, hand-tossed slice comes in at just 300 calories.

Marinara is usually thicker and chunkier than pizza sauce. To make it, you need to slowly simmer peeled tomatoes with herbs and seasoning on the stovetop for about 15-25 minutes. A traditional pizza sauce is made by just blending whole peeled tomatoes with herbs and seasoning in a food processor or blender.
Other tomato-based sauces. Traditional pizza sauce is made using canned tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, onion, and herbs like basil and oregano but there are so many other tomato sauce options that offer different flavour profiles. ...
Like other pizza restaurants, Pizza Hut primarily uses mozzarella cheese on its pizzas. The chain states that it uses part-skim mozzarella cheese on the majority of its pizzas. Some of its specialty pizzas contain Parmesan romano cheese.
The secret to perfect pan pizza is pressing the dough into a well-oiled pan (Pizza Hut uses soybean oil), then the pan is covered and the dough rises in a heated cabinet for 45 to 60 minutes.
The high heat and the yeast in the dough cause the crust to puff up and become crispy on the outside while remaining soft and chewy on the inside. The thickness of the crust can also contribute to the taste, as it allows for more toppings and cheese to be added, creating a more flavorful pizza overall.
Adding cornmeal to the pan will also prevent sticking and give the crust a crunchy texture. It is also possible to coat the pan with oil. If you do not have oil, you can use flour instead of oil on your Neapolitan pizza.

This comes roughly a year after Pizza Hut became the first national pizza restaurant to remove artificial flavors and colors from its core pizzas in May 2015.
